In the first image we see Ofelia looking at the Pale Man sitting on the chair with a great feast in front of him. This was part of the second test the Fauno (Pan) gave her in order to prove that she is still the pricess. In this test she would have to use the key to open a small door that would give her a dagger. She is not to touch anything from the table and return before the last grain of sand fell to the bottom. She does not listen to the warnings that the ferrys gave her and graves two grapes, she wakes up the Pale Man. He then places his eyes in the sockets of his hands got up and as the ferrys where trying to protect her, two of them got eaten. She manages to escape through a whole in the roof.
